The Possibilities Continue
One of the activities in class today involved getting a better feel for the upcoming research I'm going to be doing on nutrition. Even though I haven't formally researched everything I'm going to be writing about it allowed me to figure out some things that I might want to find out more information on. I would like to discuss developing good nutrition habits and finding out what works for everyone individually. To develop good health one has to conduct research on themselves and find out what's the best. Good nutrition isn't dieting momentarily and then giving it up once one has lost the desired amount of weight. That will lead to weight gain and more of a negative view and concept on good helth and nutrtion than before. One has to make the transtion from calling it a diet to making it one's permanent lifestyle.
Fad diets in particular advocate yo-yo dieting. One loses weight and gains it back because there is no where to go but down. Fad diets offer somewhat of a how-to guide on weight loss which more often than not is unrealistic and unhealthy. And fail to offer any type of guidance as to what to do after the weight loss. I don't know about eveyone else out there but I can't eat grape fruit three times a day everyday for the rest of my life.
