Have a Piece of Bread

The majority of magazines have endless amounts of overwhelming articles about low-carb fad diets. The Godfather of low-carb diets is more commonly known as the Atkin's diet. The article I read, Carb-Crazed, discusses how people can benefit from depriving their bodies of vital elements of the basic food groups. I know several people who have tried the Atkin's diet and were not entirely satisfied with it. It's not a realistic approach to achieving a healthy weight, and more importantly learning how to maintin one. While being on a diet and exercising may leave one with less energy, the Atkin's diet for most, leaves them feeling like walking zombies. Just imagine one's vital organs slowly shutting down. Sound like fun?
